National and international exchange

fedpol supports the cantons, municipalities and customs authorities with data from the HOOGAN database. The database contains information on people who have engaged in violence at sporting events in Switzerland and abroad, and who are the subject of any of the police measures.

fedpol is the National Football Information Point NFIP for Switzerland. At international sporting events it co-ordinates the exchange of information between international police services and cantonal or municipal authorities.

It also draws from successful international models for combating violence, such as the Council of Europe Convention on an Integrated Safety, Security and Service Approach at Football Matches and Other Sports Events.
