Certificate Search
Within the scope of metrological services provided by METAS, you may find in the database metas-db certificates of measuring instruments and of recognised management systems of measuring instruments' manufacturers.
A type is being approved for verification if the instruments are likely to meet the requirements claimed by the instrument-specific ordinances regarding the measuring accuracy and the reliability throughout the duration of the verification's validity. A type approval defines the specifications of an instrument's type and verification examination.
The access to the certificates in pdf-format is a service
provided by the Federal Office of
Metrology to the Swiss verification
authorities and
European authorities responsible for market
surveillance.
